Responsibilities: Primary duties include directing and supervising a variety of health related undergraduate/technical courses including phlebotomy and nursing assistant courses; coordinating EMT and Paramedic clinical experiences; and serve on department and University committees. Duties include monitoring and coordinating program activities; developing new projects, supervising and evaluating faculty and staff; scheduling classes; submitting required grant applications; preparing and submitting required departmental budgets and reports; maintaining Arkansas State Board of Nursing and Office of Long-Term Care program approval, and managing day-to-day operations of the allied health program. In addition to teaching; the employee will be responsible for advising and registering students; developing instructional and lab activities; maintaining program and student records; assisting with recruitment, placement, and follow-up; participating in professional development activities; making business and industry contacts; coordinating internship/clinical assignments, assisting with maintaining program approval and other duties as assigned. Evening and/or summer hours may be required.
Qualifications: A baccalaureate degree in nursing is required; a current unencumbered Arkansas nursing license and a minimum of three years related work/teaching experience. Must possess excellent communication, problem solving, decision-making, and organizational skills, and be willing to obtain occupational-related certifications as deemed necessary.
