Senior Research Assistant
University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff (UAPB) seeks a Senior Research Assistant (Addiction Studies) to work in the Pine Bluff metropolitan area including: 1200 North University Drive, Pine Bluff, AR 71601.
DUTIES: Responsible for collecting and compiling research and statistical data in the field of addiction studies. Research journals, periodicals, historical records, and related reports, and/or interviews participants to gather data in the field of addiction studies. Asist faculty, management and other staff in data collection methods, data sources, and statistical analysis in the field of addiction studies. Selects, extracts, and prepares data for statistical analysis in the field of addiction studies. Computes statistical analysis of data and analyzes interactions between factors, managing data, analyzing data, and presents findings as required in the field of addiction studies. Analyzes statistical and survey information for accuracy and validity in the field of addiction studies. Interprets and translates results into recommendations concerning collected data, interprets survey methods, procedures to and all related confidentiality regulations to participants in the field of addiction studies. Assists faculty with grant research, literature reviews, grant preparation, and grant management.
REQUIRES: Bachelor’s degree in Social Sciences, Addiction Studies, or a related field. Must have knowledge of social science research skills, knowledge of alcohol, tobacco, and other drug research databases and current research questions and methodologies, team-member skills as well as the ability to work independently.
Salary: $39,229
