The Clinical RN Lead (under general direction) exercises wide latitude in determining objectives and approaches to critical assignments. The Clinical RN Lead will be responsible for the development and sustainment of a 24/7 interprofessional behavioral response team that responds to escalating undesired behavior by a patient, family member, or visitor on the UAMS main campus. This position will have expert knowledge in de-escalation strategies, understanding of resources and policies to support the healthcare team and patient related to behavioral issues, assess and evaluate restraint patients to support regulatory expectations, assess patients requiring observers to validate need, oversee utilization of the tele-sitter program, round on difficult fall risk patients validating all measures are in place to support a safe environment, and lead all post fall huddles. This position will carry the Behavioral Response Team pager during their shift and will respond to all acute and non-acute behavioral events.
