The Arkansas Fire Academy, a division of Southern Arkansas University Tech is accepting applications for a Director. The position serves as the Chief Administrative Officer for the AFTA. The position is responsible for ensuring quality training and externally representing the Academy with stakeholders in accomplishing the mission of the AFTA.
Preferred qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college; minimum of ten years experience in fire service at increasing levels of responsibility, including five years experience as a staff officer or in a supervisory position; Firefighter II or equivalent certifications, budget management and public relations experience. Fire service/EMS/Haz-mat experience; Instructional experience; Background check required.
Salary base is $70,000- $77,500
