Assistant Director of Marketing.
Description:
National Park College is seeking a full-time Assistant Director of Marketing and Public Relations. The Assistant Director is responsible for assisting the Director of Marketing and Public Relations in all aspects of advertising and communications related duties and provides support for all campus departments, faculty and staff. The position is responsible for collaborating with the director to maintain brand guidelines and assist with planning and directing advertising and public relations programs designed to promote favorable publicity, encourage increased student enrollment, and create goodwill for the college.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Assist the director with managing the day to day operations of the marketing and public relations department in the absence of the director
Serve as the point of contact for all advertising vendors, organize meetings and communications with representatives, and manage and ensure deliverables are met for all vendor contracts
Assist with development of the College’s annual marketing plan
Assist the director in objectives, market strategy and research for the campus
Ensure compliance with the College’s brand standards and objectives and protect NPC’s brand identity and visual assets
Develop and implement strategies for social media communications, create content, monitor social engagement and analytics, and make recommendations for improvement
Assist with writing press releases, articles, announcements, presentations, etc.
Coordinate and capture campus photography and video projects and other relevant activities for special events
Coordinate and create graphic design projects, marketing and recruitment materials and preflight files before sending to clients and vendors
Oversee production of promotional materials in print or online
Assist with crisis communications responsibilities and serve as a back-up for the director
Required skills/abilities:
Maintains good working relationships throughout the organization and with outside constituencies
Understands the needs of the diverse academic, socioeconomic, cultural, disability, gender identity, sexual orientation, and ethnic backgrounds of the community, employees and students
Remains up to date on current web, social, marketing and public relations programs, practices, and procedures being utilized in the higher education sector
Knows, understands, and implements the Associated Press Style guide for news writing
Demonstrated experience with DSLR photography
Demonstrated experience with social media management tools like Hootsuite or SproutSocial
Advanced working knowledge in Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, Snapchat, LinkedIn, and YouTube
Advanced working knowledge in Adobe Create Suite
Demonstrates excellent written and spoken communication skills
Demonstrates exceptional listening skills
Demonstrates outstanding presentation skills
Able to manage workloads across multiple projects, manage project timelines and work independently with little direction
Willing to work occasional irregular hours for special events, including after hours
Able to handle multiple tasks and changing priorities in a deadline-sensitive environment
Education and Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in marketing, graphic design, or a related field or demonstrated equivalent experience
Three years of experience in marketing, graphic design, social media or advertising
Portfolio of graphic design, social media and photography experience is required
Experience with digital asset management systems, videography and animation preferred
Physical Requirements:
Prolonged sitting and standing

Prolonged screen time
Ability to lift 30 lbs
