Disability Determination for Social Security Administration
Multiple positions located in Little Rock.
Job duties are performed onsite.
A Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university is preferred, but not required.
Starting salary of $39,999.86 is non-negotiable. Current State Employees will have
their salary adjusted to $39,999.86 regardless of their tenure, current pay grade or
current salary.
A DDSSA Claims Adjudicator I will go through a 1-year Training and Mentoring
Program, in which there are benchmarks that must be met. Following the satisfactory
completion of the 1-year program, a job series promotion to DDSSA Claims Adjudicator
II is processed, resulting in a 10% pay increase to approximately $44,000. Following
the satisfactory completion of an additional 1-year period, a job series promotion to
DDSSA Claims Adjudicator III is processed, resulting in an additional 10% pay
increase. On average, a DDSSA Claims Adjudicator III makes $48,400. Additional
advancement is available through competitive promotions.
Tentative Start Date: Monday, August 8, 2022.
To be considered for employment, qualified applicants will have to sit for a written
examination. Applicants that meet the cut-off score will be scheduled for an interview
that will likely take place the following week. Applicants that receive a “contingent” offer
of employment will have to go through an intrusive Federal Pre-Screen Background
Investigation. An “official” offer of employment will be extended following a favorable
prescreening decision.
The written examination will be administered on Saturday, May 21, 2022, in downtown
Little Rock. Applicants can choose from one of two exam times: the first session starts at
9:00AM and the second session starts at 1:00PM.

are scheduled for, the testing location, an exam description, as well as additional details.
