Direct and coordinate activities concerned with the operation of the Cable Telecommunication Systems.

Requirements
REPRESENTATIVE RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Confer with management personnel to establish materials, production, and quality control standards, develop budget and cost controls, and review developments in the community and in law and regulation affecting Conway Corporation operations and management of personnel.
- Plan and direct departmental activities and establish work production priorities and schedules.
- Respond to emergency situations assigning manpower, materials, and equipment as appropriate.
- Meet with customers, construction and engineering personnel, electronics specialists, etc., addressing requests, problems, complaints, and any other needs requiring direct interface and response.
- Supervise and conduct human resource activities including hiring, performance evaluation, discipline, commendations, etc., in accordance with Conway Corporation policy and procedure and with applicable laws and regulations.
- Ensure that all Cable Telecommunication Systems department equipment is being maintained properly by reviewing all equipment inspections performed by department employees, reviewing all equipment damage reports by department employees, and following up by evaluating the maintenance reports.
APPLICANT REQUIREMENTS:
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- 4-year college degree, and
- 5 years related experience and/or training, plus 5 years related management experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Additional education in electronics and/or cable TV systems is desirable.
- Broad knowledge of such fields as accounting, marketing, business administration, finance, etc.
OTHER:
- Strong interpersonal skills, in order to work effectively and professionally with colleagues, managers, and vendors.
- Must be comfortable supervising a large group of employees (25+).
- Excellent communication and organizational skills with an emphasis toward customer service and the ability to multi-task, prioritize and manage time effectively.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products, including Word, Excel, and Outlook, and ability to use job-specific software.
- Must live within a 30-minute response time of the intersection of Harkrider and Oak Streets in Conway.
- Ability to work non-standard hours when required.
