Program Manager
JOB ANNOUNCEMENT: Grant Funded Position Coalition for a Tobacco Free Arkansas is hiring:
Job Title: Program Manager Community Engagement Research Alliance (CEAL), Community Garden Program Manager (PM) will be a full time equivalent 100%, exempt status employee.
Job Description: We are seeking a resolute and experienced individual to serve in the Program Manager position to oversee and manage our CEAL grant funded activities. The ideal candidate will be responsible for planning, executing, and evaluating project activities and other deliverables, ensuring they align with our organizationýs goals and grant requirements.
Salary: $50,000 annually (paid bi-weekly). Working Hours: 40 hrs./week as an exempt employee, Monday ý Friday, and some weekends and evenings may be required.
Employee Benefits: Health Insurance offered, ten paid holidays, three discretionary days, three hours sick leave accrued per pay period, vacation leave available after 6 months, agency mobile phone offered, a negotiated hybrid work arrangement, and reimbursed mileage for work related travel at the current Arkansas State rate.
Key Responsibilities: Provide day-to-day management of the administrative and technical aspects of the project. Participate in weekly staff meetings of the project team. Work with the Program Manager of the institutional partner to coordinate activities. Coordinate and manage meetings of the Community Garden Steering Committee. Oversee the payment processes with clients and with grant partner(s). Coordinate procurement, distribution, management, and recordkeeping of research incentives including transportation cards. Provide technical assistance to community gardens and consultants on completing paperwork and submission of invoices. Work with the institutional partner on regular evaluation reports due to the funder, Develop and participate in presentations relevant to the work; and participate in writing and planning manuscripts. Create memorandums of agreement with all the community gardens participants. Work with the community garden awardees on their budgeting. Train community garden participants to develop and submit monthly reports. Keep accurate records and logs. Conduct site visits. Assist grantees with securing additional resources. Provide guidance on effective fiscal management. ý Maintain regular and open communications with staff and maintain an excellent working relationship with partnering organizations and other collaborators. Assist with other office duties that will impact the overall program. Perform other similar duties as assigned. The Executive Director will supervise the Program Manager.
Skills and Qualifications: Proficient in basic computer applications, such as Microsoft Word, Excel, and Publisher. Must have internet usage and research skills. Record keeping skills. Planning and organizational skills. Exceptional verbal and written communication skills. A successful candidate must be able to perform duties and responsibilities at a satisfactory level. Mandatory
Qualifications: Must not smoke, vape, chew, spit, or use any type of commercial tobacco products, including illegal drugs. Must be able to pass a drug screen and background check. Must possess a valid Arkansas Driverýs License. Must have your own transportation, with insurance, and must be able to travel throughout Little Rock and central Arkansas periodically. Must have the ability to work some evenings and weekends.
Preferred Qualifications: Adhere to common protocols known to protect against the spread of COVID-19. Ability to begin within one-two weeks of a job offered.
Education and Experience: Bachelor's degree from an accredited four-year college or university with major coursework in Behavioral or Social Sciences, Public Health, Business Administration, or another related field is preferred. Must have some experience in program coordination, program/project management and community outreach work. Experience and education may be substituted interchangeably
Job Location: Little Rock, Arkansas, but occasional travel may be required. Coalition for a Tobacco Free Arkansas
