Recreation Director

City of Nashville - Recreation Director - Parks and Recreation Department Full Time

Summary: The Recreation Director is under the general supervision of the Parks and Recreation Director and is Responsible for programming and administering recreational activites for youth, adults and general public. This includes working after business hours and on weekends as needed.

Qualifications and Responsibilities: Ability to plan, organize, and direct various athletic events. Ability to communicate effectively with the public. Knowledge of recreation administration and the ability to coordinate schedules for athletic teams. Knowledge of the maintenance of athletic fields, gymnasiums and parks. Physical ability to perform maintenance tasks such as moving tables, mowing, cleaning restrooms, etc. The Recreation Director will provide direct leadership to supervise and promote park athletic programs.
